Aberdeen Remembers
1945 – 2025

Join us for an afternoon of music and remembrance, as we reflect on the 80 years which have passed since the end of World War II. This one-of-a-kind concert will firstly spotlight the 1940s, the wartime communities in Aberdeen and across Britain, and the role of The Gordon Highlanders.

“For your tomorrow, we gave our today” frames the second half of the concert, as you are taken on a musical journey through the decades since 1945.

Introduced by renowned singer-songwriter and broadcaster Fiona Kennedy OBE, the line-up includes:

  • The Robert Gordon’s College Pipe Band

  • Bon-Accord Silver Band

  • Singer Seonaid Aitken

  • Fiddle player Paul Anderson

  • Solo piper Fraser Maitland

  • Female chorus Albacappella

  • And more to be announced

All proceeds from the concert will go towards The Gordon Highlanders Museum and St Margaret’s Braemar.
